Brand Identity Guideline
Living guidelines, clear rules where they matter, generous examples where judgement is needed. Designed to be used, not archived.

What is a brand guideline?
A brand guideline, or brand book, is the reference document that defines how a brand should be used, its logo rules, colour and type systems, imagery, tone of voice and application examples. It is the single source of truth that lets different teams, agencies and partners produce work that stays consistently on-brand.
Why brands drift without one
As more people make more things in more places, a brand tends to fragment, slightly different colours here, a stretched logo there, an off-key tone elsewhere. Each small deviation chips at recognition. A clear guideline prevents that drift by giving everyone the same rules, so consistency does not depend on any one person remembering them.
How a usable guideline pays off
A good guideline speeds work up rather than slowing it down: people find the answer instead of guessing, and the brand stays coherent at scale. We write living guidelines, firm rules where consistency is critical, worked examples where judgement is needed, so they are genuinely used day to day rather than filed and forgotten.

Questions, answered
Brand Identity Guideline FAQs
What is a brand guideline?
A brand guideline is the reference document that defines how a brand’s logo, colours, typography, imagery and voice should be used, so everyone who works with the brand produces consistent results.
Why does a business need brand guidelines?
Guidelines prevent the brand from drifting as more people and partners create materials. They keep every touchpoint consistent, which protects recognition and trust and saves time spent correcting off-brand work.
What should brand guidelines include?
At minimum, logo usage and clear-space rules, colour and typography systems, imagery and art direction, tone of voice, and real application examples showing correct and incorrect use.
How detailed should guidelines be?
Detailed enough to protect the essentials, but not so rigid that they stop good judgement. We aim for clear rules where consistency matters and helpful examples where teams need room to adapt.
